Dr. Nick Milton is originally from London, England. He graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic after studying a 5-year full time master’s degree. After living in Victoria for several years, he is now very proud to call this beautiful island his home.
“Look well to the spine for the cause of disease.” – Hippocrates, ‘Father of
Dr. Milton is passionate about his chosen profession! He loves that it perfectly blends the sciences of neurology and anatomy with a simple philosophy that allows him to work with the patient’s own healing abilities. Though it is now called chiropractic, the idea of ‘adjustments’ have been around for millennia in many ancient cultures around the world with similar goals in mind. Each day in practice he is continually amazed by the positive results this completely natural health care system offers the world.
“The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease.” – Thomas Edison, Inventor
Dr. Milton’s primary goal is always to identify the root cause of any given problem and to improve a patient’s immediate symptoms at each visit. Generally this involves restoring normal ranges of motion of all the skeletal joints whilst concurrently correcting postural dysfunction. This allows the mechanics of the body to function more efficiently and allows it to express itself to its unrestricted and fullest potential. To achieve this, he combines traditional hands on chiropractic adjustments with a wide range of supportive techniques which are aimed at relieving the associated muscular imbalances and tension. He does not limit himself to the spine and finds the best results come from addressing the whole body, from the head down to the tips of the toes! He has extensive experience working with athletes from almost every sports discipline. Optimizing their general physical condition and seeing them quickly return back to their sport following injury is hugely rewarding.
“Difficulties are just things to overcome, after all.” – Ernest Shackleton, Explorer
Outside of the Vibrant Life Healthcare clinic he has lectured in anatomy and kinesiology. He also provides massage services for the artists at some of Island’s fantastic music festivals. For fun he loves being out in nature; whether it’s deep in the forest or out on the open ocean. He’s utterly smitten with the friendly Canadian people, Victoria and the magnificent great outdoors! His current favourite activities are hiking, camping, cycling, growing vegetables, disc golf and playing on a darts team.
“Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.” – Winston Churchill
Dr. Milton is passionate about traveling and has spent extended time in Europe, Africa and India. However, more recently the diversity of British Columbia has been keeping him happily occupied! These experiences keep him grounded and appreciative of every facet of life. This grounded energy is something which is of great importance to him when it comes to meeting and treating his patients.‹ Back to Our Team
